The reduction rule
When a value is greater than 22, add its decimal digits. Repeat until it is 22 or less. A value from 1 to 22 stays as it is.
- 25 becomes 2 + 5 = 7.
- 37 becomes 3 + 7 = 10; keep 10, because it is at most 22.
- 1990 becomes 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19; keep 19.
This is not the usual rule that reduces every value to a single digit.

A future or impossible date is not accepted by the calculator. If your result differs from another website, compare the reduction rule, formula, and sequence order before assuming one is universally correct.
What does the result mean?
Each number is associated with an Arcana archetype, but a birth date cannot verify a past life or predict an outcome. Use the reading as a prompt for reflection. Start with the overview if you are new to the concept.
Checking your work
There are three quick checks before you interpret the result. First, every reduced value must be between 1 and 22. A value such as 0 is not an Arcana position in this convention, while a value such as 23 must be reduced to 5. Second, make sure you reduced only values above 22. Reducing 19 to 10 because it has two digits would use a different numerology method and will change every later point. Third, keep the positions in order. The sequence shown by this site is d1-d2-D, which is labelled past-present-future in the result view.
The arithmetic is deliberately visible because reproducibility matters. If you are checking someone else's result, ask for the exact date and formula rather than trying to infer a formula from the final three numbers. Leap years do not require a special adjustment: the date is read as a normal calendar date, and no birth time or birthplace is used. The calculator rejects future dates because they cannot be a birth date, but it does not judge whether a date is meaningful.
Worked variation
Suppose a date produces day 28, month 11, and a year sum of 29. Apply the same rule before continuing: 28 becomes 10, 11 stays 11, and 29 becomes 11. Add the normalized values for the next point, reduce again only if the sum exceeds 22, and repeat for the center and the two tail positions. Writing each intermediate value in a table makes transcription errors easy to spot. It also explains why two sites can disagree without either one having a coding bug: one may preserve 28 as a master value, or it may reduce every value to a single digit.
Interpreting the calculation responsibly
The formula gives a stable symbolic index, not a measurement of character or destiny. Use the Arcana directory to read the three numbers in context, and compare the constructive and challenging expressions of each archetype. Avoid treating a number as evidence that someone is dangerous, ill, rich, destined to marry, or responsible for a past-life event. If a reading raises a serious personal concern, use it as a journaling prompt and seek advice from a qualified professional or a trusted person.

A useful reading should remain optional: you can disagree with a description, keep the parts that help you notice a pattern, and make decisions using current evidence.
